A housekeeper, now fired have been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from the UK mentalist Derren Brown. While working for Brown, Rocio Pavon-Navarreete used two phony checks to try and claim the cash.

Rocio Pavon-Navarrete, 46, is alleged to have taken two signed blank cheques from Mr Brown’s central London home while he was away.
Prosecutors claim the cleaner passed the cheques to 48-year-old Bernard Ayanbanjo.

Mr Brown is thought to have left the cheques at his Westminster home in case of emergency.

The official amount was around £33,000 or $54,450 in American dollars.
